Daihatsu Cuore Avanzato XX R4
Hello. I was just wondering, has anyone driven one of these before? I was casually perusing (reading) Evo magazine (or maybe it was Top Gear), they had an article about the fastest cars in the world, and this Daihatsu was placed above a lot of things. It obviously wasn't about outright speed, I mean the McLaren F1 came second to 'Rental Cars' which was quite funny, but they said the 659cc 4cyl turbo with four wheel drive gave it acceleration between 8 and 9 seconds, and it has all-round independent suspension, and it was basically amazing to drive. Then the other day I was browsing Pistonheads.com, looking for an AE86, then I got a little bored and saw that one of these Daihatsus had sold for £2,000. It was 9 years old, but only had 10,000 miles on it. Consider that I bought a Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 16v only last year for £1,500, with 87,000 miles on it, and you'll understand when I say I was tempted to buy that car. However instead I bought a Canon 5D. So my questions are, has anyone driven one, is it any good, is it better than a Vauxhall Corsa (it would have to be terrible not to be...) and does it really handle as well as they say it does considering its Kei-car proportions (i.e. narrow and tall)?
