1.8T re-map
Did anybody (especialy Quiggs) know about a late life 1.8T Re-Map being given by Audi dealerships when cars were in their workshops? A very recent MSN conversation with IWAAR6 reminded me about the somewhat sectretive re-map our old A6 1.8T recieved whilst having its MAF sorted out back in 2004. The Dealership didn't mention it at all. My Dad said it just felt a little more powerful than it used to so I e-mailed the Audi Centre enquiring into re-maps as I'd read about them in motoring mags, they mailed me back stating that Audi had told dealerships to re-map the ECU's of 1.8T's to boost the power by up to about 8-10bhp as the engine was getting fairly old and they felt it might welcome a few extra horses. I don't know if this re-map made it everywhere or if VW, SEAT or Skoda did the same.
