New LSX engine
The newest chevy small block, the LSX, was just released in Reggie Jackson's 69 camaro and recently went on public sale I believe. This thing is truly amazing, potential displacement of up to 510 c.i. In his car it's a 454 and puts out 640 hp and 611 ft-lbs, naturally aspirated.
But the most exciting thing about this engine, for me at least, is that the MSRP is only $2500 and the street price is around $1900. Compare that to the LS7 which costs around 17000 for a finished engine, over 5000 for a bare block, and you can see this is quite the engine. It won't have the same light weight of the LS7 of course, but in the right car it should be a monster.
