No McLaren for Prodrive
The future of Prodrive's F1 program now looks very bleak as the negotiations with McLaren have been terminated. Even if they had gotten their hands on the McLaren chassis and Mercedes Benz engine, it was far from certain that they would have been able to race it as the current concord agreement does not allow customer chassis. As it stands at least Williams is opposed of changing the rules in favour of the likes of Prodrive and Torro Rosso. It is highly doubtful that Prodrive will be able to get a chassis for next season. If I remember correctly, the concord agreement, they signed, includes a penalty if a team does not attend the races. This looks like a very grim and possibly expensive situation for Prodrive.
